Darkness is the Infinity Spirit of the Dark Realm and is partly responsible for the creation of the Physical realm.

Despite being viewed as deceptive and evil by most residents of the Physical Realm, Darkness is generally pretty chilled out. She is responsible for removing dark energy from the various universes.​

It is not in Darkness's nature to be giving, and so she would only split tiny parts of herself and mix them with a large amount of dark energy when creating  dark souls and shadow guardians.

Like all Supreme Beings, Darkness has no gender, but uses the gender pronoun She/Her when being referred to by hipothonlians.
